Defender Commits to Club Until 2026

Manchester, England - May 19, 2024

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has signed a two-year contract extension with the club, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2026.

The 34-year-old has been a key player for City since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017, making over 300 appearances in all competitions and winning four Premier League titles, four Carabao Cups, and one FA Cup.

Speaking to the club's official website, Walker said: "I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with City. This is a special club and I'm proud to be a part of it. I've had some amazing moments here and I'm looking forward to creating more in the years to come."

Walker has been a key part of City's success under Pep Guardiola, forming a formidable partnership with Joao Cancelo on the right side of the defense. The England international has also been a reliable performer for his country, making over 70 appearances and helping them reach the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup.

City manager Pep Guardiola said: "Kyle is a fantastic player and I'm delighted that he has committed his future to the club. He is a world-class defender and a great leader in our squad. I'm confident that he will continue to be a key player for us for many years to come."
