American Airlines Appoints Vasu Raja as Chief Commercial Officer

Raja to Lead Global Network and Drive Growth

Executive with Proven Track Record in Revenue Generation and Customer Experience Joins American Airlines

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines (NASDAQ: AAL) today announced the appointment of Vasu Raja as Chief Commercial Officer. Raja will oversee American's global network, including all revenue-generating functions, and will be responsible for driving profitable growth for the airline. He will report directly to American's Chief Executive Officer, Robert Isom.

Raja brings more than 25 years of experience in the airline industry to American Airlines. He most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at Frontier Airlines, where he was responsible for all aspects of the airline's commercial operations, including revenue management, pricing, distribution, and customer service. Prior to Frontier, Raja held leadership positions at United Airlines, US Airways, and British Airways.

Raja will start in his new role on March 1, 2023. He will be based in American's headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.
